Katemcy Rocks - Memorial Day Weekend Bash 2008

As is customary for BANGED UP OFF-ROAD, we traveled to KATEMCY ROCKS for their Memorial Day Weekend Bash...

In usual K-Rocks style, we were hooked up with incredible wheeling, damn good food, and the best band ever to play Texas Music - The John D. Hale Band.

This year we had two special guests along with us:  Barbara and Jackie.  You may remember that BUOR donated a "ride along" to the auction at the Relay for Life last month.  Well, Barbara was the proud and generous winner of that auction, and she invited her friend Jackie along for the ride...  My wife Kat and I got the honor of being their drivers, and let me tell you, we had a blast with them!

Here are notes that they sent us after we got back from the trip:

Hi Frank and Kat,
I really enjoyed last Sunday.  Wish we could have stayed and continued the ride.  I really want to go again.
I think some people were greatly surprised that an "old woman" was bidding on this package from BUOR.  I know you all thought that you would have to have the wheelchairs out for us.  Hope we surprised you.  I think it would be fun to "gently" roll to the side.  I am not sure about end over end tho.  My daughter was not surprised that I did this.  She only fusses that I need to get rid of my Sierra and Yukon and get one small car that gets better mileage.  I am ready to go again, at my expense, of course, if you all will let me tag along.  Everyone was so nice to us and I enjoyed your company.  I feel that I have made new friends and hope to see all of you again.  Thank you for everything!
Thanks to each and everyone. Will talk with you later.
Barbara

Frank and Kat,
Just wanted to let you know what a great time Barbara and I had at Katemcy.  I had never done anything like that before and was a somewhat apprehensive.  When I saw the first  rock,  I questioned my sanity. But,  when Frank and I topped that first big rock I was hooked!  What a rush!  Rock crawling outranks riding a Harley as the ultimate experience for me.  I hope I can ride shotgun again when you guys go rock crawling.
The whole Banged Up crew is awesome.  They made Barbara and me feel so welcome and a part of the group.  You all work so well together as a team it's obvious why you have such good times . Thanks  for the ride!

The BANGED UP OFF-ROAD four-wheel-drive club is located in and around San Antonio, Texas.

Our group is a somewhat rowdy bunch... We are NOT politically correct - nor do we want to be. We aren't trouble makers, but we say what we think. We don't mean to offend, but sometimes we do. We are always willing to help those in need, but we also expect people to be willing to try to help themselves.

This is our site...and well...it is a lot like us. It's loud, politically incorrect, and will probably offend some people. So, if you get your feelings hurt easily, or if you are scared to hear the truth - DON'T LOOK AT THIS SITE! (
especially the FORUMS). But, if you like damn HARD WHEELIN' and even HARDER PARTYING, then you have come to the right place!

If you decide you can handle it - come on in and look at the pics, post in the forums, and maybe send us some mail... If you decide you like our style and our content, we hope that you will visit often, go on some runs, and maybe even join our group.

If you don't like what you have found.....or us, for that matter...well then PISS OFF! We don't need your sorry ass around here anyway! Go slink back into your make believe
world of purity and good will - where everyone is nice and proper and polite.... But don't be surprised if you find some tread marks over the top of your shit.....

Tread Lightly Bitch...
Pancho
